Dear Debaters:
The Belmont Hill Lyceum cordially invites you to its annual Spring debate on Sunday, April 11, 2010. The style of the debate will be Oregon prepared, and there will be a triple-speak contest while the scores are tallied . This year we’ve chosen the following topic:
Resolved, that the United States government should require all American companies operating outside of the United States to comply with the censorship standards of foreign nations.
The charge for each team, consisting of four members, is sixty dollars. This can be paid in advance or on the morning of registration. Each of these teams should supply a judge; we may not be able to stage the debate if each team does not follow through on this requirement. We would be honored if you could make it, but please RSVP by April 2nd . It would be easiest to RSVP by email OR by telephone: 617.993.5245. Also, on the morning of the debate, please call to confirm your attendance or if you are running late. This will greatly facilitate the registration process.
We hope you can join us, and we look forward to seeing you on April 11th.
Sincerely,Nancy Montanaro (Faculty Advisor)
Bernard Geoxavier (Faculty Advisor)
